Celebrate Small Towns!

The Small Towns Action Council, convened in 2005 as part of the Rural Center’s Small Towns Initiative, released its 17-point action plan to help small towns achieve stability and prosper. In addition, the center celebrated three years of accomplishments as the NC STEP program graduated the first 33 towns enrolled in the demonstration project.
