Greene County Sewer District I, $2,101,000, Green County Sewer District I Unsewered Communities Grant Application
This project will extend sewer collection lines to 7 business customers, 75 residential customers, and two county schools in the Greene County Sewer District I area. Wastewater treatment will be provided by the Town of Snow Hill. As part of this project, additional treatment and transmission facilities will be installed at the Snow Hill wastewater treatment facility to produce and transport a portion of reuse quality effluent to irrigate the county school athletic fields.

Wastewater treatment will be provided by the Town of Creswell. Creswell will expand its wastewater treatment plant in this project, but will not incorporate a reuse component.

This project will construct a wastewater treatment facility and sewer collection lines to five business customers, 93 residential customers, and three county schools in the East Yancey Water and Sewer District area. The wastewater treatment facility will process effluent to a reuse level suitable for replacing potable water usages in the treatment process and other operations at the new facility.
