Mission:

The overall mission of the North Carolina Business Incubation Association is to support business incubators and economic developers in the state of North Carolina by providing the information, education, advocacy and networking resources to bring excellence to the process of assisting early-stage companies.

Resources/Services:

Financial Assistance:

Advise and counsel on obtaining grants and other financial assistance, although NCBIA has no direct financial contribution.

ARC Mentor Program. The National Business Incubation Association (NBIC), along with financial support from the Appalachian Regional Commission, are sponsoring a mentorship program for Appalachian communities within ARC's service area that are interested in developing business incubators.

Grant Program (NBIC). The grant program is designed to facilitate the ARC Mentor Program initial meetings. Award recipients can use the grant funds, supplemented by local matching funds, to pay travel costs and/or modest honoraria to experienced incubator managers (mentors) who can help them better understand the business incubation process and its potential for strengthening local economies.

Bi-monthly member meetings  Six per year.

North Carolina Business Incubation Association Conference.  Two per year.

International Conference on Business Incubation.  Held by the National Business Incubation Association. More than 60 sessions will be held throughout the conference, giving you the opportunity to share your expertise with incubation professionals from around the world.
