The future of North Carolina's rural communities depends on leaders who can bring about positive change in today's challenging economic environment. That's why more than 600 North Carolinians have participated in the center's annual Rural Economic Development Institute - to gain the knowledge and skills they need to make a difference in their communities. Graduates also have the option of joining an alumni group that provides workshops and networking opportunities.
