Demonstration Projects
The Rural Center is sponsoring two projects that demonstrate different approaches to helping dislocated workers find new employment. Each project is being tested at multiple sites around the state.
Project New Start
In cooperation with public workforce development agencies, community-based organizations are providing comprehensive, one-on-one assistance to help dislocated workers.
New Opportunities for Workers (NOW)
The NOW entrepreneurship program is designed for dislocated workers with the desire and aptitude for starting and running a business.
