Faith Based Projects
In November 2001, the Rural Center announced the creation of Faith Partnerships Inc., a non-profit organization committed to bringing opportunity to the state's poorest individuals and families through the work of the faith community.

Faith Partnerships grew out of a highly successful eight-year project of the Rural Center called the Communities of Faith Initiative. The initiative involved hundreds of churches in delivering quality day care in rural North Carolina and in helping individuals who had been on welfare to gain skills, find jobs and participate successfully in the labor force.
