Jonathan joined the Rural Center as senior advisor in 2017. He previously guided Accion Chicago, an Illinois-based CDFI for 14 years. Under his leadership Accion Chicago emerged from near bankruptcy in 2004 to a place of financial strength and national prominence by 2017, including collaboration on a first-of-its-kind $31 million food production incubator slated to open in 2018. Jonathan has done additional work to develop a more robust CDFI ecosystem throughout the country.
Jonathan has a bachelor’s in business and economics from Wheaton College. Jonathan lives in Wake Forest with his wife Lauren and their two daughters, Sophie and Adelyn. He and the family dog Jefferson are fighting a losing battle trying to keep up with the women of the house.
