The Rural Center’s Advocacy Team completed a series of seven Zero Barriers Policy Roundtables in Robbinsville, Spruce Pine, Columbia, Henderson, Dobson, Troy, and Kenansville in October. These day-long sessions drew 145 rural advocates and featured a deep dive into three top priorities that emerged from our 2018 Rural Road Trip (Broadband, Rural Health, and Small Business Development). The interactive events featured live text-based polling and in-depth conversations about potential policy solutions.
Want to see the results of our live polling? Check out this infographic to see how participants responded to questions ranging from the GREAT broadband
grants program to closing the coverage gap to removing barriers for entrepreneurs. You can also do a deep dive into the responses from each session to see how people in your area responded.
