NC Rural Assembly 2019
We at the NC Rural Center want to thank each and every one of you who joined us at the 2019 NC Rural Assembly.
Each year, we think of the NC Rural Assembly as our state’s rural homecoming, a chance for our local leaders and state partners to come together in conversation and celebration. This year was no different. We welcomed more than 400 people–representing 77 counties–from all across the state for a day of education and engagement with their peers and knowledge experts from around the state and across the country.
Our theme this year, “Make Your Place: Create. Transform. Celebrate.,” was all about how communities from around the state and nation can build distinct economies and establish their own specific identities through innovative and unconventional approaches to community and economic development.
Thank you to all who attended the 2019 NC Rural Assembly! We deeply appreciate your participation, energy, and commitment to rural North Carolina.
