The Rural Center is proud to offer a modern event space equipped with state-of-the-art technology, perfect for a wide range of gatherings — from meetings and workshops to community events and convenings.

We welcome state and local organizations, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and Rural Center Partners to take advantage of this versatile space.

Booking Availability:

The event space can be reserved Mondays – Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Subject to availability.

Booking Requirements:

Once your event date is confirmed with a Rural Center staff member, a $50.00 non-refundable deposit and a Certificate of Insurance (or Certificate of Coverage for State entities) are required.

Capacity:

The capacity of the space is dependent on the setup needed for your event.

With tabled seating, our maximum capacity is 100 attendees, though we typically suggest 80 as a comfortable capacity when facilitating workshop or classroom style events.

A chairs-only theater style setup can accommodate up to 180 attendees.

Can we bring and put up decorations?

Event hosts are welcome to bring in any decorations needed for their event. For items or posters that need to be hung, we allow the use of putty, masking tape, or painter’s tape to be used on our rolling whiteboard easels. We ask that no tape is used on the walls or windows of the Conference Center. All decorative items need to be removed from the Conference Center room at the end of each event.

Do you provide table linens?

What kind of events can be hosted at the Rural Center? Are there any restrictions?

The Rural Center's Event Space can be used for a variety of meetings, workshops, and special events. The Event Space may not be used for weddings, partisan fundraising events, political rallies, or other activities related to a political campaign or meetings of partisan or religious ceremonies.

The Rural Center's agreement to allow an organization or client to use the space does not suggest or imply the Center's endorsement or approval of the organization. Invitations to events in the Rural Center's Event Space should not imply or suggest endorsement or support by the Center for the organization/client or its activities.
