The Community Economic Development Program is established to support community development corporations in minority communities.
The center invests in the early expansion of Tech Prep, a challenging vocational education program that originated in Richmond County. Tech Prep will go on to be adopted statewide and, through federal legislation, become available to schools nationwide.
The center hosts a national rural economic development conference that brings together the country’s leading public officials and professionals in rural development.
